Off in the distance, down the dark and narrow road, you can see a red light blinking…VACANCY.
Don’t worry, that is not the picture of the hotel I have reserved. Yes, I have reserved a hotel! I have blocked 7 rooms at the Quality Inn. This hotel has been recently remodeled and is of moderate pricing. It is right in Greenfield, less than 5 minutes from our house. We chose a hotel in Greenfield because it is near us where everyone will be spending most of their time, and because it is a zoo at the hotels down by UMASS. Over 2 weekends there are 5 colleges holding commencement ceremonies….we wanted to be as far away from all of them as possible. Of course, with the exception of actually going to the one that whats-his-face is graduating from.
Here are the nitty-gritty details:
7 rooms (3 of the rooms are smoking)
2 Queen beds
$74 per night
Check in is at 3pm and check out is at 11 am
The rooms are reserved from Friday May 22nd through Monday May 25th.
If you would like to stay in the rooms for longer than that, please arrange so with the hotel. I am sure they can accommodate you.
When you are ready to claim your room please call: (413) 774-2211
The reservation is under Lauren Armstrong. You are responsible for putting the room on your credit card when you check in…please don’t surprise me with a hotel bill. That is not the best graduation present, thanks.
When you have claimed a room, please let me know. I would really like to keep track of this.
I would claim your room early so you know you are getting what you want. For those of you who want first floor room…and you know who you are…call, oh sometime around right now.
Happy sleeping!
Mom is a good egg and has already claimed her room…the pressure is on!
So Have I
